Shop Construction

We have used a variety of people and skills to complete this project and would like to thank Ken and Richard for their hard work in putting the shop together.

Debbie: thank you for the wonderful signs.

My children: Alexander, Sebastian and Michael for their hard work stripping the metal and sanding down some of the scaffolding boards initially and other tasks just after we opened.

My daughter, Melissa, helped a great deal with varnishing and setting up the crystal pillar, while Carl helped with the metal shelving and interior painting, as well as acting as late night morale officer.

Big thanks to Ruth for getting the actual stock in, and for sourcing the most eco-friendly paints and varnishes for the well-sanded wood.

Madeleine and Joseph have even put in some time pricing stock, although some of Joseph's labels are in interesting positions.

A thank you to our next door neighbor Judith for her recent help, and a big welcome to our first standard staff member, Kayley Norman!

We would also like to thank everyone who came to our wedding in America, it was a wonderful day and it was so great to see you all, probably the last vacation we will have for quite some time!

Here are some pictures of the shop construction and we hope you find them enjoyable!
